Mentrattel #81-B

Scientists tried to see if they could evolve Mentamite using various stones and items, but to no avail. It wasn’t until the Pokémon was taken to a seemingly innocuous point near the base of Mt. Shastor that things began to change. An earthquake shook the whole region as rock and bone flew from the mountain and composed themselves around the mentamite, seemingly building a new body for it. Once it was fully built and revealed its true form to the researchers they fled in shock, leaving the beast to wander the mountain. As different pieces of equipment were brought near the creature in attempt to capture it they all seemed to malfunction or just get tossed from their hands. Several research vehicles were towed back to the Pokémon Research Facility as little more crumpled piles of metal and rubber.

It was named Mentrattel for how the very visage of the Pokémon rattled the researchers who were unfortunate enough to encounter it.
