Akusharna was an experiment in dreams and manifestation. It is well-known that Musharna have the ability to absorb good dreams and create a mist from their heads that manifests those dreams into a near physical form. The question was then proposed “what if it was force fed negative dreams and thoughts?” This question perplexed most scientists, but a noble researcher stepped forward and made it their mission to find out.

A musharna was treated to various tales of terrible Pokémon and humans. One such tale was that of a Hypno that would prey on children and gather them into the woods. Another was on a supposed incident in Kanto’s Lavender Town and how a haunting melody would worm its way into the thoughts of the town’s citizens.

In time the musharna began to manifest these vile thoughts which seemed to take on a personality all their own. While the mist-like apendage of Musharna is capable of changing between various Pokémon-like forms it always seems to default to a devious Hypno. This leads researchers to believe that the musharna is no longer the base form of this Pokémon, but if the mist itself has become the true form, leaving the musharna a vestigial limb of sorts. For this reason researchers have named this new Pokémon Akusharna.
